A Christmas Worship Presentation
Sunday, December 18, at 10:00 a.m., the New Hope Choir will present their rendition of Heaven’s Child. Morning Worship will be led by the Youth Choir. There will also be a luncheon after services. The public is welcome to attend.

No Evening services scheduled for December 18th.

Classes To Begin Next Semester
Awana classes for Pre-K thru 6th grades and Teen Discovery will resume in January.






Dr. Joseph F. Brown, Jr.

Missionary Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church

Dr. Joseph F. Brown, Jr. is pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, since February 7, 2016. He accepted Christ as Savior in August 1972, and was baptized by Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Alexandria, Louisiana in 1977. He was ordained by Temple Missionary Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana, on December 6, 1980, where he pastored until September 1992. In 1992, Dr. Brown accepted the call to become the pastor of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, Shreveport, Louisiana and served there until August 2015.

He is a graduate of Louisiana Missionary Baptist Seminary and Institute and holds a Doctorate of Theology.

Pastor Brown also held the offices of Louisiana State Moderator, Moderator of the Louisiana First Springhill Association, Moderator and Treasurer of the Louisiana Central Association, and the Treasurer of the American Baptist Association of Theological Schools. He also served as the Assistant Editor of the Baptist Commentary and the Missionary Baptist News, Minden Louisiana. Dr. Brown served as a faculty member of Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary from 1993-2015 and was the Dean of Students from 2010-2015.

He has lectured extensively on the King James Version of the Bible in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas. He is a published author and is currently a writer for the Baptist New Testament Commentary sponsored by Hyde Park Missionary Baptist Church, West Monroe, Louisiana.

Bro. Joe is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is married to Ruby Tipton Brown, BSN, RN of Rogers, Arkansas. They have three children, Paul and wife Stephanie, Andrea and husband Tobias Wilson, and Mark. They have three grandchildren, Noah and Caleb Brown, and Virginia Wilson.
